Treasure at Hand I have a very dear friend who frequently reminds me, "Things aren't that important. They're just things." This is true. It's people who make the big difference in our lives. Nature and people. Both bring me tremendous joy. Nature is my most direct source of inspiration. I love taking long walks in the most remote places I can find. And now I have the pleasure of introducing my son and my young daughter to my most satisfying form of entertainment and relaxation. A short stroll in my garden gives me more inspiration than I could ever create. If you'd like to see a preview of my newest series of giant flowers, directly inspired by such short strolls, click here. |
In 1976 I set out for what seemed like a long journey to seek and learn from the masters. After a while I filled some notebooks and got some ideas. Some of the ideas I've tried, some have died. Now I find that I live among the best teachers in the world: they are my friends and family. Their love and company give me a tremendous amount of energy to reinvest in my art. You can learn about some of my friends by clicking on them in the photos. In some cases you can connect to their web sites, learn about what they do, or even listen to their music. Have fun!
